Funky,
swingin' roots rockin' original music and never forgettin' the blues
,The guys ' been playing for years in bands like: The band is inspired by names such as : Stevie Ray vaughan ,Albert King, Hendrix, David Grissom, Arc ANgels, Johnny Winther, The T birds, zztop ect. ect. The
King stiffs is a pretty new name on the danish rock/blues scene .
It all started early 2005 in a basement on Vesterbro ,Copenhagen,
and it was ment to be a jamsession just for the fun of it. Three guitar
players , keyboard, mouthharp , drums and bass , but things got serious
and the setup reduced to two guitars ,bass and drums, vocal and harp
Michael Larsen ( harp & voc.) Michael did'nt feel that the music played was really his style so he left the band, spring 2005 and he is now involved in other musical projects. Now they was four Allan wanted to spend more time with family and felt that his rehearsal days was over, Allan still play in other bands. Now they was three Morten ,Steen and Trond started to look for a new bassman and late 2005 Viggo Boersting did an audition and was signed on, A band got to have a name and that was not an easy task not that anyone tried especially hard but never the less , after a while the name Perro loco (mad dog) came up. and so that was the name but as it often goes a line or frase comes out of the blue and in this particually case it was Trond who came up with the name The King Stiffs only god knows where he got it from, well he is known to have a kinda morbid humor so maybe it's not that strange anyway. Down the drain goes Perro loco and in fthrough the gates of hell comes THE KING STIFFS Listen to four tracks from the rehearsal room , recorded a sleepy sunday afternoon two mics in the midle of the room and a little help from Claus Cornett..one take and that was it .listen here thanks for dropping in, come by another time .Take care of yourselves peace and love |
